Marx Hootin’ Hollow Haunted House.
An amazing Marx toy from the mid 1960’s in excellent, fully working condition. The toy features jumping cat and skeleton, vampire/witch behind the front door, eerie whistling and spooky sounds, floating ghost behind one window and a rising lowering window shade witch in the other. Top it off with a shaking roof and shutters, and you have a masterpiece, wonderful toy that has no rivals.
This Haunted House features replacement tin parts fabricated and available from Uncle Al’s Toys. They are the witch behind the front door, two floppy shutters and two eyebrow roofs over side windows.
This toy requires 3 new ‘D’ cell batteries for operation, inserted into the cover on the back of the house. PLEASE remember to remove the batteries from your toys after operation and vintage battery toys should be operated at least once a month to keep the mechanisms from seizing.
