Reproduction Toy Parts

Reproduction toy parts play a crucial role in the world of toy collecting and restoration, allowing hobbyists to bring vintage toys back to life or maintain their appearance and functionality. These parts are meticulously crafted replicas of original pieces that may have been lost, damaged, or deteriorated over time.

Reproduction toy parts offer a practical solution for collectors and restorers looking to keep the legacy of vintage toys alive. Whether it’s bringing an old toy back to its former glory or completing a collection, these parts are invaluable resources in the world of toy collecting.

  • A reproduction metal cast canon barrel for the early 1900's Large Marklin battleships. The barrel will fit other battleships, like the Battleship New York and the Columbia. My cast barrels pick up all of the fine details of the original. I individually drill each barrel center to the correct inner diameter and add a tiny breach hole at the rear. The barrel measures 2" long. A barrel comes in a patina condition to reflect the condition of your toy, or it can be patinated as new for completely restored toy boats. I had the pleasure of performing intricate repairs on a Columbia Battleship from the Malcolm Forbes Collection. Other custom parts are available upon request.
  • 1970's Tomy Wonderful Waterful Toys Replacement Rubber Cap This listing is for a new replacement rubber cap / plug for the mid 1970's Tomy Waterful Toys. The replacement cap/plug is an exact copy of an original part and is guaranteed to be a perfect fit. The cap fits perfectly and seals nicely as it is a soft rubber. You can also keep one in the spare compartment underneath, just like the toy originally came with. They are available in WHITE color only. Over time, they will change to a cream color just like the original caps. The black plugs shown were test pieces and are for reference and clarification. Not available anywhere else! There is quite a variety of Waterful Toy games, some of which you will find here. Tic Tac Toe, Ring Toss and many more that provide hours of fun. Some people assume the toy requires two rubber plugs because there is one on the bottom. It is a spare and serves no other purpose, but it never hurts to have two!
  • Replica ears for the Alps Television Spaceman and Revolving Flashing (Door) Robots. These new red ears come as a set to complete your toy.  Simply glue in place with a few drops of super glue.
  • The REPLACEMENT GEAR COVER for the Asahi Toy, Junior Products Lotus 49 F-1 battery-operated race car. Created from a mold taken of the original toy part, it is guaranteed to be a perfect fit. It is possible for tiny bubbles to appear in the casting, as shown in the pictures. This was my first cast part and more recent casts have been bubble-free. The gear cover can be installed on the two different engine versions of the Lotus toy. Plated engines used on the wing cars have molded bosses to mount the wing. This version utilizes the tiny mounting pins on the clear gear cover. Engines without plating are for the non-wing cars and the clear gear cover is installed with the pins removed as the engine has no holes for the pins to go into. The pins can be easily trimmed off for a flush fit. Both versions require the cover to be glued on and just a drop of super glue to each pin area is sufficient.
  • This is a complete set (4PCS), two guitars and two drumsticks for the 1960's Aoshin ASC Monkee Mobile battery operated car. The original parts are so often broken or missing from this toy. These are cast replacements from a mold taken from original components and are a perfect fit. I also have replacement arms, bodies, heads, engine and scoop, voice box buttons and hubcaps for this toy with pictures and pricing to come.
  • Bandai Area Radiation Tester Replacement LIGHT POD, Left Hand GREEN is now finally available. These light pods were created from molds made of the original toy parts. The brass contacts for the light bulbs are hand made of the same thickness and configuration of the original parts. The same wattage bulbs are installed and colored as original. Ample wire is supplied and will be trimmed to length when you install. It should be noted that the pods are designed to be installed in the same fashion as the original parts. Some skill is required to open the tin pod pylons (not included - you must have the original pylons). The pods are secured to the pylon by brass eyelets with a minimum length of approximately 3/16". Once mounted, the wiring for each pod is trimmed to length and soldered to the pylon electrical mount pins. Be sure to apply electrical tape over the solder connections before reassembling the two pylon halves. The pods are also available as a set for a discounted rate of $250.00.
  • Battery Box Marx Hootin Hollow Haunted House is a perfect fitting replacement tin part complete with battery contacts. Each battery box is test fit to an original toy rear panel to ensure an exact fitting installation. Just solder your wires and go! The battery contacts are slightly different than the original ONLY in that I have installed the flexible brass contact at both ends rather than the round stationary contact as original. The contact board is also gray vs. the original tan color. *Please note* You will see in one of the  gallery pictures that I have installed 3 'D' Cell batteries in the new box. These are Heavy Duty batteries - NOT ALKALINE BATTERIES! Alkaline batteries did not exist at the time the haunted house and many other tin battery toys were made. Slightly dimensionally larger than the heavy duty batteries, it explains why so many vintage toys with either tin OR plastic battery boxes have damaged battery boxes. Always remember, NO ALKALINE BATTERIES IN ANTIQUE/VINTAGE TOYS! Marx Hootin’ Hollow Haunted House first appeared on TV in the mid 1960’s. The commercial features a spooky announcer and two children playing with and truly enjoying the houses many amazing features.  The toy boasts a jumping cat, a witch behind the opening front door, a ghost floating in the air behind a lighted window, a scary window shade, a shaking roof with banging shutters, a spooky, eerie sound and a frightening loud whistling noise. All of these features are operated by buttons and 3 ‘D’ cell batteries. Other available parts we make for this toy include the witch behind the door, the standing black cat, and the gray plastic buttons. Please watch for the Marx Hootin’ Hollow Haunted House to appear in stock at Uncle Al’s Toys!

A new cockpit/canopy set for the Hubley Kiddie Toy Fighter Bomber and P-47 die cast metal airplanes. We create all of our reproduction parts from a duplicating process using original toy parts (NOT 3D!). This ensures a perfect fitting and authentic replacement part requiring no refinishing or alteration prior to installation. The results are undeniable and sure to please. We employ the same process when re-creating our tin and metal parts, which we pre-fit to an original toy prior to shipment.
  • Irwin Man From Mars Replacement Antenna</p> This is an exact copy of the original Irwin Man From Mars Antenna and is molded in rubber. It will fit the original plastic helmet or our new replacement helmet, also sold here. The antenna should be softened in hot water prior to installing in an original, sealed helmet so as not to crack the plastic from too much stress. Just insert with a slight twisting motion. You could also add a drop of dish soap for lubrication to the antenna base to ease insertion. These parts are in stock and ready to ship.
  • Linemar 1956 Lincoln Continental TIN Hood Ornament / Antenna Set

A Linemar 1956 Lincoln Continental TIN Hood Ornament / Antenna Set cars. These parts are compatible with all versions of the Linemar Lincoln battery operated friction and remote control. The company liked to ship these parts separately from the toy and as a result, these parts were often lost. I fabricate the reproduction hood ornament exactly as the original with a large tab on the bottom side. This feature allows the hood ornament to insert easily into the slot above the grill. The reproduction antenna is the same as the original diameter of the shaft and fits correctly into the hole in the fender. The car in the picture is for display purposes only and is not for sale. These parts are now made to order. Please allow two weeks for delivery.
