Without a doubt, one of the RAREST and coolest space toys ever made. 1960's Bandai Sears Radiation Tester Exclusive Area battery operated toy in nice working condition. This toy was available ONLY through Sears and could be found in their 1961 catalog. It operates on two 'D'cell batteries and features Bump N Go action, opening rear bay doors, a smoky fog emits while the radiation tester unfolds and lifts out of the bay. The arm retracts back into the bay and the doors close and the toy is on it's way again. During the entire cycle, the light pods in the rear flash red and green intermittently and are very bright. This early Japanese tin toy is a highly sought after space toy example and is sure to please. As can be seen in the pictures, the toy is in working condition and shows playwear and no paint touch ups. The battery compartment is very clean. This is a sizable toy stretching 21 inches in length, 5 inches wide and nearly 6 inches tall to the top of the antenna. Uncle Al's Toys is the only maker and provider of replacement parts for this toy. Both toys available here have replacement light pods, large antenna and front sight. Also included but not shown is a wonderful, first quality reproduction box, also available nowhere else! A great old vintage battery operated space toy that makes an outstanding functioning shelf piece display. This is not one to miss!

Battery Box Marx Hootin Hollow Haunted House is a perfect fitting replacement tin part complete with battery contacts. Each battery box is test fit to an original toy rear panel to ensure an exact fitting installation. Just solder your wires and go! The battery contacts are slightly different than the original ONLY in that I have installed the flexible brass contact at both ends rather than the round stationary contact as original. The contact board is also gray vs. the original tan color. *Please note* You will see in one of the gallery pictures that I have installed 3 'D' Cell batteries in the new box. These are Heavy Duty batteries - NOT ALKALINE BATTERIES! Alkaline batteries did not exist at the time the haunted house and many other tin battery toys were made. Slightly dimensionally larger than the heavy duty batteries, it explains why so many vintage toys with either tin OR plastic battery boxes have damaged battery boxes. Always remember, NO ALKALINE BATTERIES IN ANTIQUE/VINTAGE TOYS! Marx Hootin’ Hollow Haunted House first appeared on TV in the mid 1960’s. The commercial features a spooky announcer and two children playing with and truly enjoying the houses many amazing features. The toy boasts a jumping cat, a witch behind the opening front door, a ghost floating in the air behind a lighted window, a scary window shade, a shaking roof with banging shutters, a spooky, eerie sound and a frightening loud whistling noise. All of these features are operated by buttons and 3 ‘D’ cell batteries. Buddy L Mechanical Scarab Wind Up Automobile 1936 Pressed Steel. A pressed steel toy measuring about 10" long with a wind-up motor on the rear wheels.. Be sure to check out the video. This is a very unique and imaginative toy produced by Buddy L in the mid 1930's. The toy is in very good to excellent operating condition, with original paint and Scarab decals on the doors. The toy shows moderate playwear, with numerous scratches overall but the plated trim is clean. This is an extremely well made and unusual subject, collectible toy. To operate the toy, swing the stop lever to secure the rear wheels from rotating and wind the mechanism. Place the toy on the floor, release the stop lever and watch the Scarab move in a forward direction. As the mechanism continues its cycle, a small wheel drops at the rear of the mechanism causing the Scarab to turn in another direction.

Vintage Carnival Shooting Gallery by Ohio Art Tin Wind Up Toy With Guns And Darts/Box in wonderful complete and working condition. Received as a birthday present when I was a kid, this large and heavy wind up tin toy has ducks on a conveyor belt that slowly pass in front of a circular spinning target. The original elastic belts are still in very good condition and the toy works well. It comes with two original dart guns and two original black shaft darts. An after market package of Ohio Art darts is included as the rubber tips are in good shape. This toy comes in the original box and shows wear and age but displays nicely. Beautiful full color litho gallery in extremely nice condition and rare to find with two original working dart guns/darts!

This is a replacement WIND UP KEY for the CIJ Alfa P2 Racer , made in France. All dimensions for the replacement were taken from an original key. The brass shaft diameter and the steel winding handle are of the same thickness as the original key. The length is correct and allows winding without interference or binding near the back wheel of the toy. If you look closely at the pictures, I also drilled and inserted a brass locking pin which secures the handle to the shaft, just as original. These can be ordered with black painted steel winding handle or aged patina. Please specify when ordering. These are in stock in both variations shown here. CIJ Alpha Romeo P2 Series 3, Chuck Davis Collection This listing is for a 1935 France, CIJ Alfa Romeo P2 wind up race car. This is the final (Series 3) run of the P2 cars from CIJ. The car was sold with fewer embellishments, such as shock absorbers, brake drums and the clover leaf bonnet decal. The car also sported a different tire tread pattern. This particular toy is consigned from the personal collection of Mr. Charles Davis, a noted Indy car collector and restorer of vintage Miller racing machines. Mr. Davis also collected and commissioned large scale models of some of the most famous and unique Indianapolis race cars from the early 1900's through the 1960's, all in 1/6th up to 1/4 scale. Some of you may have been fortunate enough to have visited Chuck's museum at Washington Island, Door County Wisconsin, and glimpsed his fabulous, vintage Miller race cars and collectibles. Our hope is to bring these models to availability this upcoming holiday season! This CIJ Alfa, at some earlier point in its life, has been over painted. We've tried to highlight the most discrepant areas that show runs and defects. The defects are most noticeable where the original painted numbers and decals were applied. Fortunately, the paint color used was extremely close to the original color and really isn't that detracting. But for the discerning collector, these facts must be noted here. The wind-up mechanism is strong and works well. The steering also works as it should. The radiator cap is missing (but available as a reproduction part) and all four tires have a single flat spot from years of sitting. All in all, this is a wonderful piece with great provenance and closing in on 90 years old! Many of the details that made the original toy so authentic to the real Alfa P2 racer are missing from the re-issue. Comet Monorail Battery Operated Toy, TN Nomura Japan is in excellent working condition. This toy comes complete with metal track and the original box. The Monorail car operates on 'D' cell batteries. It features forward and reverse action and has red and green lights which correspond with the movement. The track layout is approximately 20" by 30". The Monorail car is suspended by the metal uprights and wire track that snap together to form the layout. The litho is bright and crisp and shows very light playwear overall. This toy was produced in the 1950's in Japan due in part to the popularity of the Disneyland Theme Park Monorail in California. It can be played with or used as an attractive display piece.
